Starting with Aircel Publishing's "Starstone" and Darkewood" comic series in 1987, Adrian Kleinbergen's work has been seen in comics published by Thoughts and Images, Fantagraphics, MU Press, Shanda Graphics, Innovation and many more. This being considered, in spite of the great volume of published work produced by Adrian Kleinbergen, he continues to be as obscure and low profile as he was when he started.
In his own words,"In order to be the least successful comics artist, it's easy to just not submit anything at all and become unsuccessful by default.
